UAE Dismisses Rumours of Lifetime Golden Visa for Specific Nationalities, Urges Public to Verify Information via Official Channels

Dubai: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially denied circulating claims about offering lifetime Golden Visas to certain nationalities, including Indians. The clarification was issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) through the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Responding to misleading reports propagated by media and online platforms, particularly one by an overseas consultancy firm, the ICP firmly stated that such claims are baseless and uncoordinated with UAE authorities. These reports falsely suggest that lifetime visas can be obtained under simplified terms through non-governmental agencies.

The ICP reiterated that the Golden Visa programme is governed by specific regulations, laws, and ministerial decisions. All legitimate applications must be submitted exclusively through authorised UAE government platforms. No external or internal consultancy agencies are authorised to represent applicants or facilitate visa processing.

The authority further advised the public to rely solely on official communication channels—including the ICP’s website and their 24/7 call centre (600522222)—for accurate and up-to-date information.

As part of its commitment to transparency and public safety, the ICP has also issued a stern warning against spreading false information or misleading prospective applicants. It highlighted that strict legal action will be taken against individuals or entities attempting to exploit visa aspirants by charging fees or soliciting personal documents through unofficial means.

The clarification aims to safeguard the integrity of the Golden Visa initiative and protect individuals from fraud and misinformation.
