Reasons Israeli officers rebel against Netanyahu’s War Order
A few Israeli military officers have openly rebelled against Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu’s orders in the killing of “innocent civilians”, calling the war ”illegal and
unnecessary”. Israel is continuing to bomb Gaza and impose starvation on its population.
The officers said, “When a government acts with hidden motives, harms civilians, and
causes the deaths of innocent people, its orders are illegal — and we must not follow them.”
In a letter to Benjamin Netanyahu, 41 military intelligence officers said they would no longer
take part in the war. They stated they were refusing to support a war that they believe is
meant to keep Netanyahu in power and please anti-democratic and messianic forces within

his government.
The Palestinian death toll from the 20-month Israel-Hamas war passed 55,000, the Gaza
Health Ministry said Wednesday, and hospitals said at least 21 people were killed while on
their way to aid distribution sites. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which operates the
aid distribution sites, said at least five of its local aid workers were killed in an attack that it
blamed on Hamas as they headed to one of the centers.
One of the intelligence officers said, “We hope more people will start to question the
legitimacy of this war and the government behind it. Every death is avoidable. The hostages
are suffering and dying. Soldiers are being sent for no real reason. And all the killing in Gaza
is completely unnecessary.”
