Google Expands Creative AI Tools in Pakistan with Veo 3 and Flow
KARACHI: Google has expanded access to its advanced video generation model, Veo 3, enabling users in Pakistan and over 150 countries to transform still images into dynamic eight-second videos with sound, the company announced in a statement on Friday.
The feature, built into Veo 3, lets users upload a photo, describe the scene, and generate a vivid short video complete with audio. This development comes amid a global rise in demand for creative AI tools, particularly among digital creators exploring short-form video storytelling.
“This new capability allows users to transform their favorite photos into vivid eight-second video clips with sound through a powerful photo-to-video feature built on Veo 3,” Google said.
To access the feature, users can go to the “Videos” section within the tool menu, upload their chosen image, and enter a description of the desired scene and accompanying sound. The system then generates a shareable, downloadable video.
This photo-to-video functionality is accessible through Gemini, Google’s AI-powered assistant that integrates search, image generation, and content creation tools within a single interface.
The creative suite is also integrated into Flow, Google’s AI platform designed for filmmakers, now equipped with features such as speech support, background audio, and sound effects.
Google emphasized its commitment to ethical AI practices by ensuring all AI-generated videos include a visible watermark and an invisible SynthID digital marker to indicate their AI origin.
With Pakistan’s expanding base of digital content creators, the rollout of these tools is expected to drive further innovation in the country’s growing short-form video landscape.
