New Delhi – In a major security breach, a clerk working at the Indian Navy headquarters has been arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the ISI. The staffer, identified as Vishal Yadav, was reportedly passing sensitive military information for several years, including during the critical Operation Sindoor.

The arrest was made by the Rajasthan Police’s Intelligence Wing after months of sustained surveillance. Yadav, a resident of Haryana and posted at the Directorate of Dockyard, has been booked under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

According to senior police officer Vishnukant Gupta, the state’s CID Intelligence unit had been closely monitoring espionage activities linked to Pakistani handlers. The case took a turn when a woman named Priya Sharma was found to be involved. She is alleged to have paid Yadav to obtain and pass on strategically significant information.

Authorities are probing the extent of the leak and whether others are linked to this spy ring. The Navy and central agencies are yet to comment officially on the matter.
