Tanya Tyagi, an Indian student from Delhi pursuing studies at the University of Calgary, Canada, has passed away under unclear circumstances, the Consulate General of India confirmed.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the Consulate General of India in Vancouver announced the death of Tanya Tyagi, a student at the University of Calgary. The cause behind her sudden demise remains unknown, with officials yet to release further details.

“We are saddened by the sudden demise of Ms. Tanya Tyagi, an Indian student at the University of Calgary. The Consulate is in touch with the authorities and will provide all required assistance to the bereaved family. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with her family and friends,” the consulate stated.

The Indian mission added that they are in constant contact with Canadian authorities and are offering full support to Tyagi’s family during this difficult time.
