Light rain and thunderstorms are expected in Delhi and nearby areas, while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alerts for Odisha, Jharkhand, and several Northeast states, including Assam and Meghalaya, due to heavy to extremely heavy rainfall.

Red Alert Zones:
- Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, South Bengal, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Gujarat.
- IMD warns of extremely heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.

- Several areas waterlogged on Tuesday; complaints from Karol Bagh zone including Kirti Nagar, Sudarshan Park, and Karam Pura.
North India: Relief from Heat
- Haryana and Punjab receive steady rainfall, easing heat conditions.
- Rain reported in Ludhiana, Patiala, Hisar, Narnaul, Ambala, and more.
Mumbai & Maharashtra:
- Powai Lake in Mumbai overflows after intense rain.
- Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Rajasthan Pre-Monsoon Activity:
- Heavy rains in Jaipur, Churu, Pilani, and other districts.
- Monsoon expected to arrive within 1–2 days.
- Winds may gust up to 70 kmph in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Bihar.
East & Central India:
- West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Vidarbha to see isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall.

South India:
- Orange alert in Karnataka: Thunderstorms with wind speeds up to 50 kmph.
- Moderate rain expected in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, and Lakshadweep.
- Coastal Karnataka districts like Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Kodagu under red alert.
Himachal Pradesh & Northeast:
- Pre-monsoon showers continue in Himachal Pradesh; monsoon arrival likely by June 25.
- Light to moderate rain likely in Northeast India for the next 7 days.
- Red alert extended in Assam and Meghalaya until Thursday.
Emergency Measures:
- 6 NDRF teams deployed in Saurashtra and Gadhada, Gujarat after 14 inches of rain in 24 hours.
Emergency teams active in Kottayam, Kerala after Meenachil river overflows.
