Samsung Unveils ‘Ultra’ Variant in Upcoming Galaxy Z Foldable Lineup
Samsung has officially announced the addition of an ‘Ultra’ variant to its next-generation foldable smartphone lineup, expected to debut in July — a period typically reserved for Samsung’s foldable launches.
The upcoming Galaxy Z 7 series is likely to include three models: the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra. While Samsung hasn’t confirmed the exact naming, the South Korean tech giant revealed its intention to meet the growing demand for larger displays, enhanced cameras, and innovative user experiences.
“The demand is clear — an Ultra-experience that goes beyond a simple list of upgraded features in a smaller and more portable form factor,” Samsung stated.
Drawing inspiration from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the foldable Ultra model is expected to deliver a powerful blend of performance and flexibility. When unfolded, the device aims to transform into a multitasking powerhouse, a spacious workspace, or an immersive entertainment hub — all backed by Galaxy AI features tailored for foldables.
Samsung also teased new AI-driven capabilities for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra. One example included using voice controls on a folded device during a subway commute to search for restaurants and send texts.
“Finish off that unsent work email during the ride, then use the powerful camera to commemorate your night out,” the company added. “AI-powered tools enable all-day messaging, browsing and gaming on the go, so you can focus on your life — all without weighing you down.”
With this launch, Samsung is poised to redefine the foldable category by offering its most premium and intelligent experience yet.
