The much-anticipated second Test of the five-match series between India and England is all set to begin today at the iconic Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. With the hosts leading the series 1-0 after their victory in the opening Test at Headingley, India will be aiming to bounce back and level the series.
Team India faces a tough challenge as Edgbaston has traditionally been a stronghold for the English team. In a strategic move, pacer Jasprit Bumrah is likely to be rested for this match to manage his workload. Meanwhile, England have confirmed an unchanged playing XI, sticking with the same combination that brought them success in the first Test. Jofra Archer remains out of the playing XI but continues to be with the squad to acclimatize to the Test setup.
India, on the other hand, is expected to make at least two changes.
