Oppo Reno 14 Series Launching in India on July 3 with Segment-First Zoom Capabilities

The upcoming Oppo Reno 14 series will include two models — Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro — both with a major focus on camera performance, especially zoom. The highlight feature is the segment-first 3.5x lossless optical zoom, which Oppo claims is paired with AI-enhanced telephoto zoom and up to 120x digital zoom, setting a new benchmark in the category.

Segment-Leading Zoom Technology

Both Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro come equipped with a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor and an 80mm equivalent telephoto lens, delivering what Oppo describes as “true lossless optical zoom with background compression.” This zoom setup is identical in both phones.

The selfie camera is also shared across the two models, using the same 50MP JN5 sensor with autofocus support. However, the primary rear camera differs:

On the ultrawide front, the Reno 14 Pro comes with a 50MP sensor, while the regular Reno 14 includes a more modest 8MP ultrawide shooter.

The Pro model is also capable of 4K HDR video recording at 60fps from both front and rear cameras, highlighting its vlogging and content creation potential.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the Reno 14 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, backed by a 6,200mAh battery supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Meanwhile, the standard Reno 14 houses the Dimensity 8350 processor, coupled with a 6,000mAh battery and 80W fast charging support.

Display and Software

Both devices offer IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance ratings and will run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out of the box.

Global Rollout Strategy

Following their recent debut in China, the Indian variants of the Reno 14 series are expected to mirror the same specifications, with minimal regional alterations. The launch comes just two days after the unveiling of Nothing Phone 3, setting up an exciting week for smartphone enthusiasts in India.
