Volcano Princess becomes the 12th new addition to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in June 2025.
Microsoft has officially added Volcano Princess to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library, marking the game’s console debut on June 24. Developed by Chinese studio Egg Hatcher, this unique RPG blends role-playing and social simulation with a standout parenting mechanic, offering players the role of a widowed father raising his daughter in a whimsical medieval kingdom.
Previously released on Steam in April 2023, the game now launches for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S as a day-one addition to the subscription service. It also becomes available on PC Game Pass and supports Xbox Cloud Gaming for Ultimate subscribers.
With Volcano Princess, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has now welcomed 73 titles in 2025 and 12 in June alone. Its PC version already holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating from over 39,000 Steam users, despite limited mainstream critic reviews, highlighting its niche appeal and high user satisfaction.

What Makes Volcano Princess Stand Out?
Set in a kingdom blessed by a Volcano Goddess, the game focuses on emotional storytelling and life choices. Players shape the daughter’s future through daily decisions, blending emotional depth with gameplay progression.
