A massive fire broke out on the top floor of a residential building in Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 13 around 10 am, which killed a man and his children. The flames rapidly engulfed the entire top floor of the Shabad Apartment in Sector 13 near MRV School.
Yash Yadav and his two children- a boy and a girl, both aged 10 years in panic jumped from the balcony to save themselves but they could not be saved. According to a fire official, the call regarding the blaze was reported at 10:01 am, after which eight fire tenders were pressed into service. Firefighters were working to bring the fire under control, with the fire department and an ambulance at the spot.
Residents in the area were asked to allow emergency services to operate efficiently. Thick smoke and raging flames were seen emerging from Sector 13, according to visuals from the scene.
